"Your wedding day is sacred, but as anyone who has ever walked the aisle before will tell you, it goes by fast. For me, beginning my day with a yoga practice was the ideal way to get centered among the people who had gathered to love and support me. I was able to tune in right away on a day that I wanted to experience wholly. I can honestly say that I was totally present for every moment of my wedding day. I never felt swept into the chaos or that the time was slipping away too quickly. I was able to simply be, to celebrate with my husband and our loved ones and let the joyous day unfold organically.
Amy Jane is experienced, reliable, and dedicated to her craft. Whether you are an avid practitioner looking for a teacher to guide you through a practice tailored to you, or a beginner seeking a nontraditional element to enhance your guests’ experience, Amy Jane will be a good fit. She communicates authentically with her students and is able to determine what they need from a class even if she has had only had one conversation with them. She has a calm yet jubilant presence and she will help you channel the support of the ones around you and tap into your own emotions surrounding the event. Better yet, she will comfort you and guide you into a state of emotional and spiritual relaxation that is invaluable on such a momentous day.
The wedding is going to happen as it does whether you’ve planned meticulously or have left loose ends. If I could make one recommendation to future brides and grooms, it would be to forego the last-minute scurrying and doing, and instead take an hour of your special day for yoga with Amy Jane." -Amanda Weiss (Kiawah, SC)
"Amy Jane taught me an amazing hour-long yoga class the day before my wedding. Amy Jane and I had planned this out months and months before the wedding, but as the day of her class arrived, I must admit I almost cancelled because I was really stressed out and had been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off all day long, however I cannot tell you how incredibly happy I am that I did not cancel! I thank that hour of yoga and relaxation for allowing me to have a beautiful and low-stress rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, followed by an incredible wedding day!
An hour before Amy Jane's yoga class, I was in tears with a clenched jaw trying to get last minute wedding details worked out. I got to my dad's house (where Amy was staying and my yoga class was held) and Amy Jane asked me right away "on a scale of 1-10 how stressed are you?" I said 11. Because of this, she led the most relaxing yoga class I have ever had in my life. My stepmom (and her dog) joined me for the class, and Amy Jane led the class outside in the backyard. None of the postures were too challenging, she just focused on postures that open your heart and body, which is just what I needed. She played beautiful music, and her words were calm. She gently assisted me in some of the postures, and her peaceful words of wisdom before a nice long savassannah made all my stress fade away, literally, like all of it!
Not only is Amy Jane a great yoga teacher, she is a wonderful person with a heart of gold, and is one of the most caring and loving people I know. I cannot think of a better person to teach you or you and your bridesmaids/ loved ones on or before your big day. I needed a yoga class that would help me relax, but I feel confident that Amy Jane will be able to guide you through any type of practice you desire, and she will listen to all of your requests." -Joanna Emily Reed (Salt Lake City, UT)
