This is a part of my life I rarely speak about.
Only a few close friends & family know the whole story. But I feel like it’s time to begin to share it. What I have been through, learned, found and created; because deep down I know it will help others heal.
This blog will be speaking to all of that. How food is not only food. It’s so much more.
My journey with food is one that will be ongoing for the rest of my life. All the work I have done over the past few years continues to keep me happy, healthy and thriving. However, it takes attention and patience each day. The work I have done (and continue to do) on a physical, mental and emotional level to live without fear of what I eat truly needs to be a priority everyday.
My life has been touched by stints of anorexia as well as binge eating.
That’s an intense statement to put out on the internet (and one I will never be able to”delete”) but I want others to know you are not alone. You can live without all the bullshit thoughts that come along with restricting and/or over doing it. Your really can. It’s going to take dedication every single day though.
Checking in with your self, questioning your own thoughts, finding a personal processing mechanisms that help you, setting & keeping boundaries and asking for help when you need it.
So here it goes…
